What is Bharatanatyam?

Bharatanatyam is one of the oldest and most revered classical dance forms of India. Originating in the temples of Tamil Nadu, this divine art form combines graceful movements, expressive storytelling, and spiritual devotion. The name "Bharatanatyam" itself comes from the sage Bharata, who wrote the Natya Shastra, the ancient treatise on performing arts.
